Helping SMEs boost growth through data and software innovation | The IEA

Over the spring and summer, we’ve been busy providing data analysis and software support to several SMEs to help turbo-charge their growth and product development ambitions.

Utilising Innovate UK funding, the clients all picked the IEA team due to our ability to turn projects round quickly and find innovative technical solutions to problems that their in-house teams lacked the bandwidth or capability to deal with.

The projects included:

- Energy Saving Bear Ltd – developing a machine learning model to provide real time alerts of energy consumption anomalies in buildings.

- CalCommuter – undertaking a comprehensive data modelling exercise to identify ‘latent’ Scope 3 emission reduction opportunities for employees by worksite and mode of transport as part of the development of a new sustainable transport tool by David Smith Consulting Ltd.

- MDY Legal – developing a proof-of-concept data analysis dashboard for a London-based law firm developing a new service helping large financial sector companies identify climate legal risk from investments and operations.
